The Girl With A Pearl Earring Modern Masterpiece

I recreated Johannes Vermeer's famous painting: The Girl With A Pearl Earring through a modern lens. The original painting is very simple and elegant. I kept the elegance in her look and gave the painting a modern aesthetic. I used brighter colors, created a loud background, and added new elements to her look, such as glasses and flowers to her turban. This piece was made in Illustrator.

I designed this Netflix advertisement banner for one of my favorite shows: Money Heist. This piece was made using Photoshop and InDesign.

Vogue Magazine Cover

This piece is very meaningful to me because I always noticed the lack of representation in the media for people of color and minorities like myself, so I wanted to represent them through my work. I chose model Halima Aden as the face of my Vogue Magazine cover because she represents parts of me and other minorities. She is a Muslim, hijabi, and a black woman who is an inspiration to many who want to pursue careers in modeling or media. This piece was made in InDesign.

Ramadan Postcard

I made this piece right before Ramadan of 2021. I wanted to send out Ramadan Mubarak postcards to my family and friends so I chose this Ramadan themed image and edited the lighting in Photoshop.

Modern Music Album Art

I recreated the album cover of one of my favorite songs "Jab Koi Baat" by Atif Aslam. It is a romantic song so I used live tracing in Illustrator to draw the couple sitting, looking at the moon. I added the moon and stars because my favorite verse from the song mentions "chandni raat" (moonlit night), and also because I'm a Selenophile :)

My favorite verse:

iPhone Lockscreens

I was bored over the summer and decided to create some cute iPhone lockscreens in Illustrator. The left most screen is a simple landscape design with earthy colors. The middle screen highlights a puppy and uses different shades of brown. The right most screen uses different shades of pink and highlights a tulip.
